Air Canada delays BRU launch but adds cargo-only flights

Air Canada, which had planned to complement its existing daily service between Montreal and Brussels with a six times weekly B787 service from Toronto, as of 1 May 2020, had to drastically reduce its domestic and international network and shelve these plans which are particularly interesting for the handling of pharmaceutical and perishable shipments.

But to help keep the supply chain moving, Air Canada is also announcing opportunities for cargo-only flights. Available on demand, these flights are operated on B777 with 40 t of capacity and B787-9 (35 t). The routing can touch key cities in the airline's global network, with trucking to and from points in the USA like ORD, JFK, SFO, LAX, PDX and SEA. Flights can accommodate general and specialised freight. (ah)
