Air Namibia starts replacing A340 with A330

From this month, Air Namibia is introducing new Airbus A330-200 aircraft to its operation, which will operate its Windhoek – Frankfurt (Germany) daily service. The new A330 will replace the current A340-300 service. The A330 will operate this route on alternating days until 30 November, when a second A330-200 is expected to enter the national air carrier's fleet.

Currently, Air Namibia's average cargo load on the Windhoek-Frankfurt route is 10 t, the A330 offers a 14-t cargo capacity as opposed to the 16 t of the A340 which is considerably higher than the current average cargo load.
