Air Serbia sees dramatic rise of cargo volumes
Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, has posted its strongest-ever Q1 operational results this year. The growth in passenger traffic (+8%) was mirrored by a dramatic rise in cargo tonnage, with 1,490 t transported in Q1/2017, a massive 70% increase over the 877 t flown in Q1/2016.
Dane Kondić, Air Serbia’s CEO, commented: "Our operational performance in Q1/2017 was outstanding and reflects our continued efforts to enhance our travel proposition and capture more freight movements to and from Belgrade." (ah)
