AIRZETA launches in Vienna as key European hub

South Korean freight airline Airzeta has officially commenced operations and established Vienna airport as its primary European hub. A long-term partnership, supported by a MoU and handling agreements, was celebrated during a formal signing at the airport, attended by notable dignitaries including the Korean ambassador to Austria. Vienna airport's strategic location and excellent infrastructure make it an ideal launchpad for Airzeta's growth in Europe, facilitating reliable weekly flights between Vienna and Seoul-Incheon with six rotations per week using Boeing 747 freighters.

The partnership enhances East Asian–European trade, notably in auto parts, electronics, pharmaceuticals and e-commerce, bolstering Vienna's status as a key logistics gateway. Airzeta, emerging from the merger of Asiana Cargo and Korean Air, brings extensive intercontinental connectivity and operational expertise, marking a significant upgrade for Vienna's cargo capacity and strategic importance in global freight networks. The launch was commemorated with an exclusive evening reception, celebrating the new collaboration and promising future growth for Vienna's cargo ecosystem.
