AIT: another venture into the pharma market
AIT Worldwide Logistics has acquired Mach II Shipping, a UK pharma distributor and freight forwarder. Mach 2 is known for shipping solutions in the pharma and life science industry, offering transport for clinical trials, APIs, pharmaceutical machinery, and finished products.
The acquisition brings with it a fleet of vehicles, a temperature-controlled warehouse near London Heathrow and a subsidiary in the Netherlands. The company also has a partner, Pharmafreight, which operates in 30 countries in similar markets.
AIT can benefit from new low-temperature logistics infrastructure and the several certificates which Mach 2 and its associated companies have received in both the UK and the Netherlands in recent years. (mk)
