AIT expands with first Indonesia facility

AIT Worldwide Logistics has inaugurated its first office in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking its expansion into southeast Asia and making it the eighth country in the AIT-Asia network. The new facility responds to rising regional demand, especially within Indonesia's thriving industrial, technology and telecommunications sectors. Managed by vice-president Tony Tong, the office offers comprehensive freight forwarding services focusing on air and ocean imports and exports, alongside value-added solutions such as local island delivery, customs clearance and white glove handling.

Greg Weigel, chief strategy officer, highlighted Jakarta's strategic importance for AIT's growth, noting that the local presence will enable tailored logistics solutions and strengthen connections with Indonesia's key industries like petrochemicals and mining. The environmentally certified, state-of-the-art office is situated conveniently near major airports and Jakarta bay, further supporting AIT's global expansion and commitment to high-quality, flexible logistics services in the region.
