Alonso Group growing in Iberia
The Alonso Group is taking a majority stake in the railway company Compania Europea Ferroviaria (Cefsa), based in Madrid (Spain). With the investment Alfonso has strengthened its railway business in the Iberian Peninsula.
Cefsa specialises in railfreight transport and owns a fleet of 29 locomotives and 81 40 ft double wagons. The carrier operates more than 20 trains a week in the Valencia–Madrid corridor, in addition to connections between key logistics points and ports.
Alfonso is a multi-sectoral business group operating in the logistics, energy and infrastructures. (ben)
