Ambrogio opens rail link on the Brenner route

Intermodal operator Ambrogio has launched its first intermodal service on the Brenner route linking Verona (Italy) and Neuss (Germany). This new offer allows the company to expand its regional scope and increase transport capacity to and from North Eastern Italy to the Ruhr area and to Eastern Netherlands and Belgium.

Starting with two trains per week and direction, the frequency will be increased step by step, the company said. The new link joins the existing Ambrogio network, enabling flexible solutions and a high quality service.

Ambrogio Trasporti was founded in 1969. 50 years later, the Ambrogio Group operates a private European network, with six rail terminals, a fleet of 400 freight wagons and over 1,300 intermodal units. (ben)
