An all-electric pharma hub

Prologis is developing a sustainable logistics facility for a pharmaceutical wholesaler in northeast Berlin. Having acquired the brownfield site in 2021, the company is currently in the process of demolishing the old buildings. Once completed, Prologis Park Berlin DC2 will feature 19,391 sqm of warehousing and office space, of which 13,674 sqm will be leased to the client.

Located in Berlin’s Lichtenberg district, the hub will enable access to the city as well as to major highways. The park will be all-electric and independent of fossil fuels. A rooftop photovoltaic system is set to generate a peak of 1.2 megawatts. All 140 parking spaces can be equipped with EV charging stations. Prologis will thus aim for a DGNB Platinum certification.
