An e-truck for each market segment


The Paris climate agreement aims to limit global warming to below 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels. A gradual transfer to electric power is intended to create a CO2-neutral vehicle fleet within 30 years. Electric powertrains with batteries and fuel cells will be crucial in accomplishing this task, says Renault Trucks.

 

The truck manufacturer therefore plans to produce an all-electric range for each market segment - distribution, construction and long-haul - from 2023. To this end, it is setting up various departments specialising in electric mobility. Renault has also already started series production of the second generation of electric vehicles at its French plant in Blainville-sur-Orne. (be
