An LCC with post pandemic cargo plans

As Ukraine is gradually relaxing lockdown conditions from today, 11 May 2020, the country's LCC Skyup Airlines, which began its operations in May 2018, is starting to develop cargo transportation.

The carrier has received all the necessary licences and permits, as well as reconfigured seven aircrafts of its fleet – four B737-800 with a maximum payload of 21 t, and three B737-900 (19 t). Another two aircraft should be refitted soon.

The company already completed its first 50 cargo flights in March and April, transporting mainly medical supplies, and plans to develop this line of activity after the situation gets back to normal: The organisation of cargo flights "will be planned in such a way as to combine passenger transportation with the transportation of goods".
