Another Danish CFO for Hamburg Süd

Lasse Carøe Henningsen will assume his position as new chief financial officer (CFO) at Hamburg Süd on 1 June 2020. He and Dr. Arnt Vespermann, the company’s CEO, will then make up the company's management board.

Henningsen has many years of experience working for consulting and auditing firms EY and PwC. He also served as head of accounting & control at Maersk Tankers A/S. Since 2018, he has been CFO of the Copenhagen (Denmark)-based carrier Christiania Shipping.

Henningsen will succeed CFO Jakob Wegge-Larsen, who has held this position since December 2017. Already at the end of February 2020, Wegge-Larsen became CFO of the Maersk division ocean & logistics alongside his duties at Hamburg Süd. He will be finally returning to Maersk in Copenhagen by the end of June.

At Hamburg Süd, Henningsen will be in charge of the business finance and accounting divisions as well as the ongoing introduction of SAP S/4 Hana. (cd)
