Another India-West Med connection


The Geneva-based Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is about to start a new direct India–Middle East-West Med service, connecting India to the Western Mediterranean.

 

Transit times from Mundra will see vessels reach Genoa in 19 days and Valencia in 23; Nhava Sheva to Barcelona will take 16 days. No transhipment will be required between loading  and discharge ports.

 

The first sailing will see the ‘MSC Shanghai’ leave Abu Dhabi on 19 December. It will call at Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali, Mundra, Nhava Sheva, Djibouti, Gioia Tauro, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Salerno, Gioia Tauro, Marsaxlokk, King Abdullah and Jeddah before returning to Abu Dhabi. (sh)
