A.P. Moller - Maersk appoints new CFO


A.P. Moller - Maersk has appointed Robert Erni as its new chief financial officer and member of the executive board, effective after the year-end closing on 5 February. Erni, a Swiss national with over 30 years of finance experience in the global logistics sector, succeeds Patrick Jany, who has served as CFO for six years. Maersk CEO Vincent Clerc expressed gratitude towards Jany for his contributions in positioning the company for future growth.

Robert Erni brings extensive experience from his previous roles, including 20 years at Kuehne+Nagel and group CFO at Panalpina and Dachser. Clerc noted Erni's proven track record in driving efficiency and growth as assets for Maersk. Erni expressed excitement about joining Maersk, citing admiration for the company's ambitious strategy and culture. The smooth transition will be managed in Q1, ensuring continuity during the handover process.
