APL enhances Latin American connections

The CMA CGM affiliate APL is adding Guayaquil and Ensenada as ports of call to its Condor Express service (CDX). With the extension to the port cities of Ecuador and Mexico, exporters from those countries gain access to two new load ports for their Asian-bound fruits and perishable goods.

The enhanced CDX service will get additional reefer plug capabilities to facilitate the fresh fruit trade between Latin America and Asia, particularly China and Japan.

Transit time from Guayaquil to Yokohama will be 26 days. Cargo from Ensenada to Yokohama, Busan and China will take 13, 16 and 21 days respectively.

The improved CDX service will commence sailing from Kaohsiung on 23 January. The port rotation is Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Shekou, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Buenaventura, Callao, Guayaquil, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo, Ensenada, Yokohama, Busan and Kaohsiung (kd)
