Arkas Line doubles US service with second vessel
Arkas Line has doubled its capacity on the USA Express Service (USX) by deploying a second vessel, the 2,824 teu "Emma A", alongside the "Sine A".
The USX offers weekly sailings between Türkiye and the US East Coast, calling Mersin, Istanbul, Izmit, Gemlik, Izmir, New York, Norfolk and Savannah. The "Emma A" is equipped with a scrubber to reduce sulphur emissions, underlining Arkas Line’s commitment to sustainable shipping.
The service now operates with seven ships, offering faster transit times and expanded cargo options. With this move, Arkas aims to boost trade links not only between Türkiye and the US, but also with Africa, India, and the Black Sea region via the Red Sea. (ah)
