Azul expands Europe–Brazil cargo network
The Global GSA Group has announced the launch of Azul Brazilian Airline’s new cargo routes from Madrid and Porto, further expanding the airline’s European footprint.
Since 10 June Azul has operated 13 weekly Airbus A330 flights connecting Madrid and Porto to the key Brazilian hubs of Viracopos and Recife. Each flight adds up to 10 t or 60 cbm of capacity, significantly boosting trade lanes between Europe and Brazil.
Global GSA, Azul’s exclusive cargo partner in Spain, marked the milestone with a Brazilian-themed event in Madrid. "This development represents a key milestone in Azul’s international expansion," said Global GSA CEO Aytekin Saray. "We’re proud to deliver flexible, high-capacity solutions that support growing demand."
The new routes join existing Azul services from Lisbon and Paris Orly and offer forwarders broader options and enhanced reliability in South America’s most dynamic market. (ah)
