Azur celebrates seven awards
The Azur network and its partners secured seven 'Recircle Awards 2025', underlining their efforts in sustainable tyre recycling and retreading. Azur is Germany’s ‘Allianz Zukunft Reifen’ (AZuR), an alliance for the future of tyres.
Honours went to Azur partners Genan, Marangoni and Italmatic, for their contributions to circular economy solutions. Azur coordinator Christina Guth received the ‘Women’s Award’ for the tyre retreading sector, in recognition of her commitment to building a cross-sectoral network of over 90 industry, trade and academic organisations.
Marangoni took home three awards, including 'Retreader of the Year' and a lifetime achievement honour for Mario Marangoni. Genan was named ‘Tyre Recycler of the Year’ and Italmatic received two awards for equipment and automation innovation.
The network said that it will continue to collaborate with universities to promote reuse, recycling and resource conservation. (js)
