Barreto from Abra to Menzies
Menzies Aviation has named Angie Barreto as director commercial Latam. She brings over ten years of leadership experience across aviation and insurance, combining negotiation expertise, organisational transformation and regional expansion.
Barreto spent more than nine years at Avianca, where she founded the airports and ground operations procurement division, negotiated contracts worth over USD 50 million, and led the airline’s move to Terminal 6 at JFK. Earlier this year she joined the Abra Group as senior strategic procurement manager, integrating sourcing functions for Avianca and GOL.
She now steps into her new role at Menzies, where she will extend market share, foster closer industry alliances and expand into new regions. "I am passionate about turning complexity into clear strategy and building lasting relationships that generate real value," she said. (ah)
