Baytree invests in Duisburg

Baytree germany has acquired a 67,000 sqm brownfield site on Friemersheimer Strasse in Duisburg to develop over 35,600 sqm of logistics space. The building permit process is under way, with construction set to start in the first half of 2026 and completion scheduled for spring 2027. The project, centrally located in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, benefits from multimodal links via the port of Duisburg, nearby airports in Düsseldorf and Cologne/Bonn, and direct access to the A3, A40 and A59 motorways.

Stefan Siegle, Baytree’s head of Germany, said the redevelopment will create future-ready space at a strategic location. The design will feature four independent units with a total of 31,400 sqm of warehouse area, 2,300 sqm of mezzanine and 1,900 sqm of office and social space. (js)
