Bertschi invests in green supply chains
Swiss chemical logistics company Bertschi is planning to expand its terminal network for intermodal transport services. It recently completed the expansion its CT terminals in Rotterdam Botlek and Duisburg. Investments in the Benelux countries will follow in 2022, the company said.
The group also plans to invest in hydrogen trucks for completely climate-neutral door-to-door transport chains. The first 40/44 t H2 tractor units are scheduled for delivery in about three years.
Bertschi already handles 90% of all European land transports intermodally. CT transports through Switzerland are already emission-free, as the trains run exclusively on non-fossil fuels. (ben)
