Bifa backs Ethiopian logistics
The British International Freight Association (Bifa) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ethiopian Freight Forwarders and Shipping Agents Association (Effsaa) to support the development of Ethiopia’s logistics industry. The mou includes training, institutional support, and knowledge exchange.
Signed in Addis Ababa on 11 June, the agreement aims to align Ethiopia’s logistics with global standards. Bifa director general Steve Parker (on the right) said the partnership could open new opportunities in the sector. Effsaa president Dawit Woubishet (on the left) added that "the agreement will help Ethiopia's logistics sector gain valuable experience from a well-established and well-respected trade association."
