Biodiesel powers Cummins future

Cummins has supported biodiesel for nearly two decades, with its X15 diesel engine approved for blends up to B20. The upcoming 2027 X15, compliant with EPA’s latest standards, aims to further enhance biodiesel compatibility. Industry leaders, including Pepsi and ADM, are now trialling B99.

Cummins is also testing higher biodiesel blends in field trials, reflecting growing demand for low-carbon fuels according to Jeff Klopfenstein liquid fuels expert at Cummins Corporate R&T Chemical Technology.

"More and more, we're seeing a customer choice for low carbon fuels, for renewable fuels", said 'Clean Fuels Alliance America' technical director Scott Fenwick. His company has already cooperated with Cummins for several years. (js)
