BLG Logistics unveils Ahlhorn inland terminal

BLG Logistics officially opened its new inland terminal in Ahlhorn on 5 December 2025, a ceremony led by Grant Hendrik Tonne, the Lower Saxony minister for economics, alongside other key officials. Following a successful commencement of operations in July, the terminal aims to enhance logistics capabilities within the region, ultimately expanding to accommodate up to 16,000 vehicles across 35 ha by the end of 2026. Additional facilities, including a temporary technical hall for service enhancements, are set to be introduced in early 2026, emphasising the terminal's role in facilitating integrated logistics solutions.

The establishment of this terminal is a strategic component of BLG Logistics' growth strategy, bolstered by its advantageous location near major motorways. This initiative underscores the importance of logistics in the regional economy and focuses on sustainable practices through the incorporation of modern technologies. BLG CEO Matthias Magnor highlighted the terminal's value not just in increased space but in its potential to create jobs and boost regional economic strength, reinforcing Ahlhorn's commitment to responsible growth and sustainable mobility.
