
Board reshuffle for DHL
The DHL Group is reshaping its top management with effect from 16 August.
Oscar de Bok, currently CEO of DHL Supply Chain, has been appointed as the new CEO of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, succeeding Tim Scharwath, who is retiring.
Hendrik Venter, the CEO for Supply Chain in Mainland Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will take over de Bok’s role and join the DHL Group’s management board. Both executives have extensive international experience under their belts and will support the group’s strategic focus on growth and sustainability.
DHL Group CEO Tobias Meyer and supervisory board chairwoman Katrin Suder expressed gratitude to Scharwath for his work, and welcomed the new appointments.
The group, which aims to achieve net-zero logistics by 2050, operates in more than 220 countries with a staff of more than 600,000 people.
