Boluda in action for Canary islands
The eruption of the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the island of La Palma keeps taking its toll. Now, Boluda Shipping, the international transport and logistics division of Boluda Corporación MarÃtima, supported a plan organised by the government of the Canary Islands, the ministry for the ecological transition and the insular water council of La Palma.
On 5 October, the company moved four containers containing two portable desalination plants designed to maintain irrigation in Canary plantations, mainly banana plantations. These desalination plants can process a flow of 6,000 cbm per day. (cd)
