Border census shows increase in road transport

The number of trucks crossing Denmark’s borders has returned to the same level as it was before the financial crisis. Denmark's road transport association (ITD) ascertained this fact from its border censuses for 2013. Some 5,392 trucks per day crossed into Denmark last year, 4.2% more compared to 2012. It was the second highest number of lorries ever registered on a yearly basis. The record was set in 2007 with an average of 5,582 trucks per day over the course of the year. (ben)
