Breaking records on Indian routes

IAG Cargo recently flew more than 50 t of cargo on a single Boeing B777-300ER flight from Mumbai to London – a company record from India. The product mix included perishables, pharmaceuticals and courier consignments, with a large amount of engineering goods, destined for Europe and North America, making the crucial difference.

In August, IAG Cargo completed its 200th cargo-only flight from India since May. During the pandemic, the cargo division of the International Airline Group has established a network of more than 340 scheduled cargo-only flights a week. It now operates daily services from Mumbai and Delhi, and multiple weekly services from Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. The airline offers cargo-only and charter flights and has reconfigured aircraft to maximise cargo capacity. (ah)
