Buying into pharma logistics
Pfenning Group is expanding its service portfolio with the acquisition of Logosys, a pharma logistics provider from Darmstadt, Germany. Logosys Group is a forwarding and logistics provider for the pharma, healthcare, and cosmetics industries with three locations in the Rhein-Main region and 250 employees. Pfenning Group will also add 60,000 sqm of space and 100,000 pallet positions to its portfolio.
“The Europe-wide presence and the companies’ shared management philosophy were decisive criteria for this transaction,” says Hans-Jürgen Nützel, founder and CEO of Logosys.
The takeover was concluded with retroactive effect from 1 January 2024, in light of Nützel’s retirement from the company’s operational management. (mk)
