BVL mourns founding member

Hanspeter Stabenau, founding member and long-standing chairman of the board of Bundesvereinigung Logistik (German logistics association, BVL), passed away on 10 June 2020 in Bremen. He was 85 years old. One of the milestones of his work was the development of the German logistics congress, which was held for the first time in 1984.

Stabenau frequently brought together companies from various industries and scientists to debate and further the interests of the logistics sector.

Stabenau was honorary chairman of the BVL, frequently dropped in for a chat in the Bremen office and was a regular and enthusiastic visitor of the German logistics congress in Berlin until 2017. (mw)
