Careful CBP officers in Pennsylvanian airports

Ten days ago, on 7 September 2021, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in two airports in Pennsylvania seized counterfeit documents. In Pittsburgh, 70 counterfeit Covid-19 vaccination cards (photo) that were shipped from China and were destined to an address in Beaver County, PA, were intercepted.

These have to be added to the more than 6,000 counterfeit Covid-19 vaccination cards CBP officers in Chicago, Memphis and Anchorage had seized before.

Independently, CBP officers in Philadelphia found nearly USD 100,000 in counterfeit EUR and USD on the same day that had been shipped as international air cargo from Russia and were destined to an address near Chicago. The consignment initially arrived on 19 August, and CBP officers placed a hold on the parcel, which was manifested as "play money for monopoly". (ah)
