Cargonaut now 100% with Royal Schiphol Group

Royal Schiphol Group, the operator of Amsterdam airport (AMS), has acquired additional shares in the airport cargo information platform Cargonaut and now has full ownership. Founded in 1986, Cargonaut is responsible for the provision of information across the airport’s cargo community.

As a next step, Schiphol will renew Cargonaut’s Port Community System, incorporating suggestions from its users and futureproofing it for the cargo community. The modernisation will take place over the next two years, with all current services and processes remaining as they are until the new IT system is fully operational.

Cargonaut Interim CEO Jonas van Stekelenburg, a former AMS head of cargo: "With the new system that Cargonaut and Schiphol Group are building we will be ready for the future and able to further innovate and exchange information." (amh)
