Carrier gets advice on cutting emissions
Tristar Eships, part of the Dubai-based Tristar Group, has engaged Wärtsilä Corporation to decarbonise its operations. Initially, this partnership will focus on reducing carbon emissions for two tankers in Tristar's fleet.
Wärtsilä’s services include an in-depth analysis of the ships' operational profiles to recommend efficiency and energy-saving measures. Techniques such as Wärtsilä’s Energoflow, optimised propellers, and the use of biofuel are part of the strategies to be employed.
This initiative aligns with Tristar's commitment to enhance environmental sustainability in maritime logistics by leveraging advanced technologies to cut emissions effectively. (pb)
