Challenge Group renews Iata animal transport certification
Challenge Group has successfully renewed its Iata CEIV Live Animals Certification, confirming its long-standing expertise in the safe and professional transport of horses and livestock.
The group moves around 8,000 horses a year, over 5,000 of them on its own Boeing 747 fleet equipped with pre-cooling systems, temperature control and seating for grooms. Its "Horse Inn" facility in Liège (Belgium), considered one of the world’s best for animal logistics, plays a central role in ensuring welfare and efficiency. The certification reflects investments in trained staff, specialised ULDs and prototype trailers for safe transfers.
Challenge Group has also seen rising demand in its charter division, with flights from Europe to Asia and seasonal operations for major equestrian events, most recently to Canada for the 50th anniversary of Spruce Meadows. (ah)
