China-Europe freight train milestone reached
On 28 November 2025 the China-Europe freight train service achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 120,000 trips and transporting goods valued at over USD 490 bn. The announcement was made by the China State Railway Group following the departure of train X8086 from Chengdu, Sichuan Province, heading to Poland.
The service has expanded its offerings to include 53 categories of goods, encompassing approximately 50,000 products. High value-added items such as automobiles, auto parts, mechanical equipment and electronic products dominate the shipments. Established as a flagship project under the Belt and Road Initiative, the China-Europe freight train network now connects 232 cities across 26 European countries, forming a comprehensive logistics platform across Eurasia.
