China–Finland rail service soon to be weekly


RZD Logistics has launched regular a regular railfreight service between China and Finland and vice-versa. At present, container trains depart from Hefei (Anhui province) and head for Europe via China, Kazakhstan, Russia and Finland once a fortnight.

 

The trains run via the Dostyk-Alashankou and Vainikkala-Buslovskaya border points to the Vuosaari station in Finland. In the near future, the service, with an average transit time of 14 days, is expected to be provided on a weekly basis.

 

The service was launched in cooperation with United Transport and UTLC Era, Nurminen Logistics and Hefei International Land Port Development. (ben)
