Chorus and Purolator enter charter deal

The Voyageur Aviation Corp, a subsidiary of Chorus Aviation, has completed a six-month trial service and signed a three-year contract with Purolator for the provision of air cargo charter services.

Voyageur will replace two aircraft used in the trials with two Dash 8-100 package freighters, which can carry 4.5 t and 39 cbm.

Chorus, a provider of integrated regional aviation solutions, was previously active in the air cargo segment through the conversion of Dash 8 units into package freighters. Now it has taken a step towards expanding its cargo capabilities, according to Chorus president and CEO Joe Randell.

Chris Spanjaard, COO of integrated Canadian freight, package and logistics provider Purolator, added that the Voyageur deal “enhances our capability to better serve cross-border express shipment customers.”
