Circle of honour gains new UPS drivers

The package delivery company UPS has announced the induction of 1,412 men and women into the circle of honour, an elite group of UPS drivers. They have been among the safest drivers on the road and have not had an avoidable accident for 25 years or more. Today, the circle includes 10,779 of UPS’s active brown-clad drivers.

Averaging over 20 million packages per day in 2020, the pandemic made the drivers’ services even more important. As a group, all UPS drivers log close to 5.6 billion km per year and deliver 5.5 billion packages annually.

In addition to drivers in the USA, this year’s circle of honour welcomes new members from Canada, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Singapore and Taiwan. (amh)
