Clasquin: less volumes, more profit

The French Clasquin Group, founded in 1982, has reported its figures for Q3/2022. Volumes went down over the period, by 4.2% in teu in sea freight and 2.5% in tonnage of air freight. Nominally, the number of shipments surged by 7.7% in Q3/2022 compared to the same period last year due to the recent acquisition of Exaciel in Paris and CVL in Senegal and a good performance in the road brokerage division (+30.9%).

The quarter's gross profit remained robust with EUR 35.5 million, up 12.6% from a strong Q3/2021. The negative impact of the sale of Log System in March 2022 was contained at EUR 1.5 million.

Clasquin is a global player with a network of 22 offices in the Asia-Pacific region. More recently, the group has also grown its business in the Near and Middle East, and in Northwest and sub-Saharan Africa. (sh)
