Cloud tool for batteries
UK-based battery software specialist About:Energy has launched 'the Voltt', a cloud platform designed to accelerate battery cell selection by up to six months. According to the company the tool allows engineers to test and compare cells under real duty cycles using data from more than 30 cell types. Built on About:Energy’s cell model library, 'the Voltt' aims to offer a environment for faster and more accurate decision-making.
The platform provides simulations enabling users to identify performance. The solution is adaptable for sectors such as drones, aviation, space and motorsport. A 14-day trial is available as the company presents the platform at 'the battery show North America 2025'.
