CMA CGM: another big investment
CMA CGM has contracted the South Korean Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HMD to build a series of ten 2,000 teu ice-class vessels. The vessels will run on dual-fuel engines and can therefore rely on liquefied natural gas. The order was said to be worth a specific USD 627 million.
After a construction time of almost three years, delivery is planned by the end of September 2024. After Maersk and MSC, CMA CGM now ranks third among the big carriers in terms of capacity available on the market. (sh)
