CMA CGM brings Turkey closer

CMA CGM is adding a call in Taranto (Italy) to its Turmed service from 10 July. The service links Turkey, Tunisia and Europe via the group’s Malta hub. Four 1,100 teu vessels will be deployed. From July on, Italy and Turkey will thus be connected in only three days.

Daily train departures from the port of Taranto will furthermore provide intermodal links towards central and northern Italy, particularly the cities of Milan, Piacenza, Bologna, Jesi and Marcianise. The Turmed service will continue to call at Tunisia as well as Malta, one of the CMA CGM Groupmaritime hubs. (mw)
