Common goals with BGL-Nord

In northern Germany, the associations representing the transport sector in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Landesverband des Verkehrsgewerbes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (LV M-V)) and in Berlin and Brandenburg (Landesverband des Berliner und Brandenburger Verkehrsgewerbes (LBBV)) have been discussing an agreement over the last few weeks.

Effective from 1 January 2021, both transport federations will strengthen their relationship by forming the BGL-Nord. Their representatives and committees have agreed to a cooperation with regard to the following goals: joint activities in internal and external marketing and public relations, the development of the new BGL-Nord brand and the strengthening of the bonds between the members.

The aim is to create a common voice on local, national and European level. However, regional specificities will remain within the remit of the relevant association in the federal state. Other BGL-federations are also invited to join the coalition. (amh)
