Completely fossil-free deliveries on Gotland

The Gotland region in Sweden is making a large investment in sustainability and has set an aim to become fossil-free in 2040, five years ahead of the country’s national target. This endeavour is now being supported by DB Schenker.

The company is transforming its entire distribution network on the island into a fossil-free service in partnership with manufacturer Scania. The haulier has purchased four electric distribution trucks Scania P25, and two Scania PHEV hybrids.

DB Schenker already deploys electric vehicles in the rest of the country. In Gotland, the company is now taking the next step with the electrification of an entire region. (ben)
