Converging in the Midlands

East Midlands Airport (EMA) is now served by new cargo flights from Hong Kong and the USA. DHL Express' service from the East, operated by a B747-8F from Airbridge Cargo Airlines, is currently the UK’s only dedicated cargo flight from China carrying goods exclusively for the UK. It has a capacity of 130 t of cargo, 95% of which are time-critical products, to be distributed across the UK on Monday morning.

DHL Express has also introduced two additional new routes from New York JFK and Miami into EMA and, later this month, a new flight from EMA to Los Angeles has also been introduced. These routes are in response to the growing demand for time-critical deliveries from the USA, ensuring the DHL Express network continues to provide connectivity and service for customers at this critical time.
