Cooperation in Brazil

Mercedes-Benz and Bosch have joined forces to build a state-of-the-art vehicle test centre in Brazil. The new centre will focus on testing projects to develop vehicle safety and suspension control as well as on evaluating systems to improve energy efficiency and (semi-)automated driving technology.

One ground-breaking aspect of the joint project: the new facility is to be made available to other manufacturers of vehicles, systems and vehicle components.

The vehicle test centre is to be built on the existing Mercedes-Benz testing grounds in Iracemápolis (state of São Paulo). Initial construction work will begin in the first half of 2020. The centre is scheduled to be completed and operational by 2021. (ben)
