Crowley opens Philadelphia–Central America route
Crowley is launching its first direct ocean route between northeastern USA and Central America.
From today, 3 July 2025, LNG-powered Avance class vessels will link the Gloucester Marine Terminal in Philadelphia PA (USA) with Guatemala and Honduras, offering five-day transit times.
The vessel 'Copán' will inaugurate the new service, enabling fast and reliable shipments of perishables, apparel and industrial goods between northern Central America and the US East Coast. Operated jointly with Gloucester Terminals, the service also covers El Salvador and Nicaragua via regional connections.
"This nonstop service will cut idle time and lower supply chain costs," said Crowley Logistics vice-president Reinier van Delden. The new link complements Crowley’s longstanding services to Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. (ah)
