Cybercrime tops logistics risks
Cybercrime and the shortage of skilled workers remain amongst the biggest threats to the logistics industry in 2025, according to the latest trend survey by the Logistics Hall of Fame and the Schunck group.
In April, 75% of respondents cited both as top global risks – up significantly from 2022. Supply chain disruption, once a key concern, now ranks much lower (12.5%), while political risks have moved up to third (43.75%). At company level, cyber threats (70.6%) and labour shortages (58.8%) are also dominant, far outpacing market shifts and business interruptions.
Respondents want the next German government to prioritise faster authorisation processes and address labour shortages through immigration and education policies, for example. The survey reflects the current assessment of a selected C-level panel of experts from the Logistics Hall of Fame and the Schunck group’s networks. (js)
