Dachser expands Linz facility
Dachser has completed the third expansion phase of its logistics centre in Hörsching, near Linz (Austria).
With an investment of EUR 6 million, the site has been extended by more than 3,000 m² of transhipment space, boosting total hall capacity to 11,200 m². The site now features 129 gate integrated loading bays, with 40 there of new, as well as a 160 m² social room for staff and a photovoltaic system on the roof. Dachser has added infrastructure for electric vehicles, including 30 EV charging points and three for e-trucks.
"By completing these expansion measures we've created the capacity to cope with growing volumes of consignments in the future," said Dachser Linz branch manager Michael Rauhofer (pictured on the left). (js)
