Daily services to China's southern ports

Cargo-partner has introduced a new intermodal service combining rail and ship transport to link Europe with China and the countries in southeast Asia.

The consignments are collected from 13 provinces in the Chinese hinterland and carried by train via Chongqing to the country’s southern ports, such as Qinzhou. Daily train services from Chongqing to Qinzhou taking around 36 hours ensure quick deliveries to the ports. From Qinzhou the consignments continue their journey by sea.

According to Cargo-Partner, transit times from door to port are at least seven to ten days shorter by rail, depending on the route, and around 30% to 50% cheaper than by river barge. (ben)
